Services
Our close contacts within the music industry can prepare all genres of written music and we can record professional tracks using live instruments. The in house services we provide are as follows:
Musical Arranging
Any piece of music for (almost) any size and type of ensemble. As it is an arrangement you can alter the style or feel of the music should this fit better with your requirements or the ensemble - the arrangement may well be intended for a specifically themed event / performance so this can be taken into account as well.
The people we use are established industry professionals, they each have their areas of expertise in terms of ensemble and stylistic requirements / capabilities.
Ensembles catered for include:
Big Band
Brass Band
Brass Quintet
Choirs
Jazz Ensembles
Orchestra
Percussion Ensembles
Piano
Pop / Rock Bands
Show / Theatre Orchestras
Solo Instruments
String / Saxophone Quartets
Vocal Groups
Wind Band
Musical Transcriptions
As with musical arranging any piece of music for any size and type of ensemble can be accurately transcribed. The people we use are established industry professionals, they each have their areas of expertise in knowledge of musical styles.
Music Copying
Creating clear, legible and easy to navigate parts is an art in itself. Poorly laid out parts with even slight enharmonic or geographic issues make for reading errors - even if you have booked the best musicians for your session or live performance. They will more than pay for themselves in terms of lost studio or rehearsal time and they will also raise the level of performance and therefore the overall production on a live event.
Music Composition
You can commission a peice of music for any size and type of ensemble. You can specify a style or styles of music in which it will be written or even specify the emotion you want it to create. It could be for a specific live performance that has a theme or it might be to mark a special occassion. Whatever the case your composition will best fit your requirements and the ensemble.
Professional Backing Tracks
We can provide the highest quality backing tracks for the most discerning ears. You will find catalogues of low cost (sometimes free) tracks on the internet that are ok and let you and the audience 'know' how the song goes. Play them in front of a knowledgeable and musically educated audience (or even worse music industry professionals) and they will not be impressed.
Our tracks' creation begins with 2 of the preparation services above (arranging or transcription and copying). We then use a combination of programming but then most importantly we use real instruments and musicians when the track needs it.
The result?
Backing tracks that you aren't ashamed to perform to anywhere. If it's Big Band and Swing tracks, you've got a real live Big Band behind you. If it's Rock you've got a Rock band behind you. Etc.
We have in house studio facilities and partner with other facilities and industry professionals around the country to bring you the best sounding backing tracks. At the bottom of this page you will find a list of session musicians that we have on our books.
Click Tracks
We provide a cost effective and professional service for the creation of click tracks to run with live performance. As with our backing track service the process begins with arranging/transcription and copying of the parts that are to go onto the click. Beyond this we use a combination of sampled and live instruments to give your production a fuller and more professional sound.
Jingles, Stings & Playons
We can write and record jingles, stings and play ons for Radio, Television and Live Events. As with all of our other music and track preparation service their quality is second to none. Established industry professionals will create the music that will enhance your production.

Andy Scott
If you're booking live music with Blue Juice you may want to make your event extra special and stand out from the crowd by commissioning a new piece of music; a harp solo, a string quartet, a pop song, or even a brass fanfare! In November 2006 Andy Scott collected a prestigious British Composer Award, at the Southbank Centre in London, and since then has been busy writing and recording music for many of the UK's top classical, jazz and pop musicians. Projects in 2009 included writing for Supertramp's sax man John Helliwell, a set of music scored for strings and rhythm section for Duran Duran's Simon Willescroft, Composer in Residence with Foden's Brass Band (ranked no.3 in the world), a fifteen minute work the classical Aquarelle Guitar Quartet's next Chandos CD release in June 2010, and a commission from the acclaimed Park Lane Group Series, featuring a new work premiered at the Purcell Room, London. Andy's music is recorded on CD by the top musicians, and is performed and broadcast worldwide.
The way it works for you? Have a chat with Andy and discuss the duration of the piece that you would like to commission, discuss the choice of instruments/voices, leave enough time for all this to happen (it takes a lot of hours to compose music!), then you are given a fee quote and you say yes or no. Easy.
